Online Registration

REGISTRATION

To be eligible for direct account access you have to be an existing Old Mutual Unit Trust Account Holder.

You will have to:

  • Click on the Register link or click here
  • Fill out a registration form online to provide us with your personal details.
  • Read the legal terms and conditions of transacting online. You will have to check on the tick box that you accept the legal terms and conditions before it lets you proceed.
  • Click on the submit button

Please note
All compulsory fields are indicated by an asterix.

The application form will fail if:

  • The mandatory sections of the form are not fully completed
  • The check box on reading the legal terms and conditions has not been ticked

After the application form has been successful a message will inform you that you have successfully registered for direct account access.

After matching your registration profile to our current details on file, our client services department will send your user name and password over registered mail.

If your address details change, please inform us to prevent delays on the receipt of your user name and password

USER ID and PASSWORD

  • Each client who registers for direct account access over the Internet will be given a user name and is prompted to fill a password.
  • You can access your password if you have forgotten it by writing to omis@oldmutualkenya.com. Please ensure that you are writing from the designated e-mail address on file with Old. 
  • You will be allowed to change your password at any time but you cannot change your User ID.
  • You can change your password by selecting change my password on the Login section.

It is your responsibility to keep your passwords safe at all times and not to use easy passwords such as:

  • Part of your Identification number
  • Date of birth
  • Or any other passwords that may be similar to other passwords held with other institutions.

The password must be at least 6 characters and the maximum characters are 20.
Please note:

  • For joint account holders, or corporate accounts for security measures there will only be one
  • User ID and password.
  • Clients are encouraged to maintain passwords that are alphanumeric to ensure maximum security.

Incorrect Password
If you enter the incorrect the password more than three times, the system will ask you a pop up question - Forgot your password?

You will then be prompted to click on “forgot your password” link.

Forgetting Password
If you forget your password, click on "Forget your password" on the Login page. You will then be prompted to enter your User ID.

You will then be asked to answer your personal security question. If the answer matches the one that was provided during registration, you will be allowed to change your password.

If you forget the answer to your personal security question please contact the Old Mutual Unit Trusts Client Service Department.

ACCOUNT ACCESS

  • Go to the login section and input your user name and password
  • You will be able to view your accounts online once you have successfully logged in
  • The accounts are updated on a daily basis

Account Access includes the following services:

  • View your investments, current market values and transaction histories
  • View transaction details - can act as a confirmation of a purchase, sell, switch, transfer instruction
  • Request for a redemption - provided that it is to the designated banking details on file.
  • View and print statements online

Redemption Requests

  • Clients will be allowed to sell their units online.
  • The cut off time for redemption requests is 9am.
  • You will have to select the fund from which you would like to withdraw units.
  • We will only pay out to your current banking details on file.

You have the option to:

  • Select all units
  • A percentage of the amount you wanted to sell
  • The exact value of the amount you would like us to sell
  • You will only be allowed to select one option
  • Old Mutual aims to credit your money within five working days

Account Balance Screen
when you have successfully logged in you will be lead to a screen that will show:

  • All your unit trust accounts at Old Mutual (applicable only if you have invested in more than one fund)
  • This will specify the total units and the current value of the units for each of the accounts held.
  • To view the transaction detail that pertains to each account, you will have to double click on the balance field for that specific account. This will then lead you to the transaction detail screen.

Transaction Detail Screen
In this screen the client will be able to see the following:

  • Value date for the transaction
  • The Transaction Type: For example a purchase, a switch
  • The Transaction type detail : For example : reinvestment
  • The amount per transaction
  • The unit price awarded
  • The corresponding units awarded
  • The overall unit balance

You also have the option of viewing transactions from a specified period by choosing a 'from' and 'to' date and then hitting the ENTER button.

Please note that only fully processed transactions will be displayed on this screen.
